I'm thinking about attending on 7 July, but I'm a little tired of being a solo male submissive at these parties. Don't get me wrong; I love the atmosphere and I went to the first Boudoir Bizarre and thought it was really well done. But hanging out by myself gets a little old, while at the same time the hope that maybe I'll actually get a chance to talk to some people and the dance-floor usually keep me there until nearly the end. It is hard to meet people though when you start of the conversation with "spreekt u engels?" At the last Clinic party they wouldn't even let single men into the dungeon, which I can understand to a certain extent given the behavior of some of these dick-swingers, but I'm not a wanker. I'm a polite, submissive male, and am more than happy to keep my wee-wee put away for the evening.
Anyway, if there is a woman interested in a companion for the party check out my profile and drop me an email. I want to stress that I'm not looking for sex, just someone to hang out with. The woman doesn't even have to be dominant, and if she finds someone else to play with, that's great, too. I'd just ask that she doesn't ditch me for the evening. I'd of course pay for her ticket and drinks and contribute something to her wardrobe for the evening if she likes.

sinceresubmale: Strange - I always chat my heart out at parties. But then - I am a woman - that might make it al little earsier. Anyway: in the Netherlands you should just assume that the person you address speaks English good enough to have a short conversation. Most people are capable to have a small talk in English... I just advise you to start a small talk... And about the dungeons: I can understand your disappointment, but I guess there is not enough time at a party to assess everybody individually... What you can also do is look for more forums and try to get to know the people that come to most of the parties - that should work - more single men do it... It might not give you a date but will make it nicer to attend the parties...

Thanks Beatnick. I am a member of gofetish and you're right most of it (i.e. almost all of it) is in Dutch and so I've been hesitant to post there, but perhaps I'll give it another shot. You're also right about my needing to just start a small talk, and I will certainly try (or at least resolve to try!). So you think I should give the "spreekt U engels" opening a rest, and just start speaking in English? Isn't that kind of rude? (See this is the kind of spiraling self-reflection that I go through prior to beginning a conversation, which usually results in the person moving on or starting their own conversation with someone else! And believe me if there is one place where spiraling self-reflection is not good, it's at a fetish party.) Thanks again for your comments.

It's kinda difficult to give over-all advice on such items... Isn't a fetish party all about being yourself? So stop worrying en start enjoying...
Drop the "spreekt u Engels" and just say what you really want to say which I expect to be more like "Don't they look great?", "I like your outfit", "Do I know your from GoFetish?"... Or don't say anything: just dance, have a drink and enjoy - if you do that right you just can't help laughing and smiling and people will smile back: Tadaaaaaa - an opening for a small talk... And don't forget to circulate! Standing beside a dancefloor isn't the way to spent an evening!
Take time to prepare saturday, enjoy picking your outfit, maybe buy something new and go and make an exhibition of yourself...
Don't try to 'get' a conversation but bring one!!!
